The Story Behind the Song
This song is about growing up feeling like you never quite fit into the version of life people expected from you — and eventually making peace with that.
My background involved contradictions: faith and doubt, structured expectations, and pressure to achieve independently. I was frequently labeled as "too loud, too wild, too proud" throughout my life.
I'm not a saint. I've made mistakes. I've looked for peace in the wrong places more than once. The song examines faith versus failure, acknowledging mistakes while maintaining personal integrity.
