The Story Behind the Song
I don't fit the stereotype. And I stopped trying to.
Red Wine Rebel is about choosing your own rhythm in a world that keeps telling you how a man should live. This isn't destructive rebellion — it's living authentically between contradictions rather than conforming to expectations.
I build technology professionally, take fatherhood seriously, yet refuse to be boxed in. I prefer wine and contemplation over stereotypical "tough guy" choices — a deliberate statement about my identity.
This is not a drinking song. The red wine represents choosing your own moments, savoring instead of numbing, conscious living rather than escape.
A central tension exists between responsibility — especially as a father — and personal authenticity. There's no anger in this song, no revenge, no bitterness. It's about accepting contradictions and proving you can be both grounded and free.
I wrote this for people who work hard but refuse to be defined by their job, and those living just outside the lines while maintaining integrity.
